Rick Barnes

A highly accomplished and sought-after educational speaker, Rick uses humor, experience and real evidence, empowering everyone to achieve their highest potential. He currently is the Vice President for Campus Operations for the NIC and has held various campus positions at Texas Christian University and Clemson.

He has been a featured speaker at over 2,000 college campuses nationwide, as well as presenting at corporate, international, and non-profit organizations. Rick is an active member and volunteer with FarmHouse Fraternity and recently served as International President. He has held leadership roles with SYNERGOS, AFLV, the NIC and AFA- he is also currently the Mayor Pro-Tem at home in Keller, Texas.

Rick delivers his powerful messages in an approachable, no-nonsense style that is received well by all types of audiences. Backed by over 20 years of professional experience in higher education, Rick is extremely knowledgeable on the programs he instructs and how to deliver educational programs that make a difference with today’s campus climate.

Rick Barnes holds a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Texas Christian University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University. Rick and his wife, Sheila, live in Texas and they enjoy traveling, sports, and reading.
